Q1. Is extending power supply to the consumers depending upon the purpose for which it is being utilised?
Ans. To become a consumer of MPPKVVCL get an authorized HT/ LT service connection for supply of electricity after completing all necessary formalities.
Q2. How to get application form and where to submit the application form?
Ans. In order to Obtain New Connection of LT supply, applicant has to fill the online application from LT New Connection (Saral Sanyojan) Portal, link given in LT New Conn Tab on company’s portal (https://portal.mpcz.in/web/) or directly on portal https://saralsanyojan.mpcz.in:8888/home or from UPAY Mobile App. After filling the application form applicant needs to upload relevant documents, test report and provide OTP based consent on online agreement. Now consumer needs to pay against the application online or offline at DC Office. After successful payment, application will process from respective Zone/DC office.
For obtaining Connection of HT supply, applicant can fill the online application from New Connection link given in HT Services on company’s portal (https://portal.mpcz.in/web/). After the payment against the HT New Connection application, it will be process from respective Circle office.
Q3. What are the eligibility criteria for getting a connection?
Ans.The eligibility criteria are as follows:
1. The applicant should either be owner or legal occupier of premises, situated in the area of the company.
2. In case of Industry, Letter of Intent of Industry Department is required.
3. The consumers having connected load not exceeding 150 HP will be supplied power at LT
4. Power supply to consumers having installation with connected load exceeding 150 HP (112 KW) will be given at HT.
5. A consumer whose connected load does not exceed 150 HP and who is prepared to execute an agreement for a contract demand not less than 45 KW (or 50 KVA) will be entitled to receive power at HT if the so apts.
In the case where supply is to be given at HT, the supply voltage will be applicable as per contract demand:

Q4. How to avoid electrical accidents?
Ans.1.Install safety equipment line Earth leakages/overload & short circuit protection (MCCB/ELCB/RCCB/switches) near point of supply.
2. Ensure healthy earthing be installed at the premises.
3.Wiring done through licensed electrical contractors only
4. Use ISI marked equipment and cables of proper capacity in the installation.
5. Use proper size fuse wire in main switches.
6. Provide weather proof enclosures to meter and metering equipment. Safe guard the mater & other equipment of the MPPKVVCL in the premises.
7. Replace promptly defective electrical fittings and appliances.
8. Don’t use bare/hanging wires for extending the supply from main point to other or from one premises to other premises. It is hazardous and causes accidents.
9. Avoid loose connection and points.
10. Do not meddles with live wire/points.
11. Do not plant trees below the overhead power lines.
12. Do not construct your building underneath HT or LT line without proper Clearance
13. Avoid theft of energy
14. Always call licensed electrical contractor for rectification of fault in your premises.
15. For any difficulty related to electrical supply, always contact MPPKVVCL authorities at their offices
16. Don’t touch electric switch/appliance if your hands are wet or bleeding from a cut
17. Don’t keep the lamp holder without lamp.
18. Always use properly earthed 3 pin plug to connect refrigerator, wet grinder. mixer, washing machine, cooler etc.
19. Don’t purchase substandard electrical fittings to save money.
Q5. How to increase sanctioned load?
Q6. What is the procedure of billing ?
Ans. Following the installation of the meter, its particulars and initial reading are recorded in the billing system. Subsequently, energy bills are issued monthly. A meter reader captures a photograph of the meter reading at predetermined intervals, often monthly, furnishing a provisional bill promptly. In instances where a meter reading isn’t feasible for a given month, an average bill is generated, calculated based on the consumer’s three month consumption. Upon obtaining the meter reading, any disparities are rectified, ensuring accuracy in the subsequent billing cycle. This process ensures that consumers receive timely bills reflective of their actual energy consumption, thereby promoting transparency and accountability in the billing system.
Q7. How to lodge complaint ?
Ans. In case of failure of supply –
1. In case of power supply related complaints Consumer can call at our Centralized Call Center at 1912/ 18002331912 / 07552551222 to register complaint

Consumer can use our WhatsApp Chat Bot -07552551222 (Send a message Hi on it and use our Chatbot service to view bill, register complaint etc.)

2. Contact nearest fuse of call center, either on telephone or in person to lodge the complaint
3. MPPKVVCL is not charging any extra charges for attending fuse off call complaint.
If the electric supply of whole area goes off, it may be a major fault and may take some longer duration for restoration of supply.
Q8. How to cope up with the power outages?
Ans. If the power goes off-
1. Confirm the outage is in your home only, most likely a fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has opened. This could be a warning of overloaded wiring or defective appliances check the neighborhood to determine how widespread the outage is.
2. Report the outage at fuse off call center (1912 / 18002331912 / 07552551222)
3. Turn off all appliances that come on automatically. To prevent over-loading of electrical circuit at the time of restoring power, shut off appliances like water heater, refrigerator water pump and air-conditioner.
4. Similarly to avoid damage from lightning or power surge disconnect all sensitive appliance viz TVs computers VCRS/VCP Micro oven etc.
5. Turn off all appliances which were operated.
6. Always keep on alternate source of light on hand such as flash light emergency lights candles with matches, oil lamp with sufficient fuel.
7. If a stand by generator is installed, ensure it is installed and wired properly with a double throw switch. This will prevent electricity from flowing to the outside lines.
When power comes back –
1. Turn on only most essential appliance when power first comes back wait 10-15 minutes before reconnecting the other appliances.
2. Before switching back to normal heat/cool setting, check the outdoor units to assure it is free from brush or leaves.
Q9. How a consumer may help us to serve him better?
Ans. 1. Please do not waste or misuse electricity. It is precious. Control electricity theft.
2. Protect your energy meter from damage. Do not overload it by adding unauthorized load.
3. Inform immediately when the meter stops/burns/gets damaged.
4. Make your payment within due date of payment.
5. Cooperate with MPMKVVCL (MPCZ) officials in carrying out their duties when they visit your premises.
6. Take all precautions to avoid accidents.
7. Despite our best efforts, load shedding/shutdown/break down are inevitable, please bear with us and cooperate in such difficult times.
